URL.

Mag PM me with the actual URL you were using, I have had another report of some sort of youtube affiliate that uses a ".co.uk" in their URL and was tripping the code.

Isn't there enough vids on the normal youtube to satisfy most?

I am not a fan of You Tube so haven't a clue about it really.  I didn't even realise there was a different one for the UK    ROFL   I thought I had better know about it in case any of our members asked when the forums are upgraded.

I have pm'd you the URL Jim

AS IT TURNS OUT uk.youtube is a sub domain just like www. is and all you have to do is replace the UK with WWW, they point at the same place.

I will alter the script to strip the uk or anything else in front for that matter.

Hi Mag,

It's on the UK domain at YouTube, so you need to paste the video ID only. Try this:

[flash=600,362]http://www.youtube.com/swf/l.swf?video_id=lmIFXIXQQ_E[/flash]

Hooray it worked sort of.  I find when I paste in the URL and click ok the box doesn't always work.  I have to have several tries before it "takes"

Anyone else found that?

I had problems to begin with, but posted another one no problem after removing the uk part of the url.

I have a fix on the way but it isn't going to be for a few days. I had no idea UK had their own youtube sub domain.

Hi KJ,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3k1tn0_5wb4

The t n and w in the ID code should be T N and W, like this:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3k1TN0_5Wb4

I guess you typed the ID code, instead of copying and pasting it?

Here you go:

Hi KJ

It's on the UK domain at YouTube, so until Jim fixes it the YouTube button won't work.

Instead you need to copy and paste the video ID directly. Like this -- copy and paste this directly into your post, don't use the buttons:

[flash=600,475]http://www.youtube.com/swf/l.swf?video_id=3k1TN0_5Wb4[/flash]

Change the ID part for other videos, but make sure you copy the ID correctly.

regards,

Martin.
