Upstate NY (Lake Placid / Keene / Plattsburgh Region) and Vermont got nailed. Heavy winds and rain. Slow moving storms mess us up every time, as rivers and streams overflow and run fast. Number of roads and bridges all messed up. One couple did not know a bridge was out (midnight). My neighbor's tree came down in my back yard and took out a few yards of hedge row. First thing this AM he was in the yard with his dad removing the tree and telling me he would replace the parts of the hedge row that were damaged. His parents raised him right... His dad owns a vehicle repair shop. He was told it would be three days before he will see power. Had to get the vehicle inspected today. No telephones or Internet at the shop. They had to process the credit card by hand. Did not even have the old style card slip printer. On what I think is NEAT. The humming bird feeder at the house kept active throughout the storm. No matter how hard the wind was blowing or the amount of rain, the local birds kept visiting the feeder. My neighbor said she had the same at her house. I gather easier then trying to land on a flower...
