Hey Jim -

My co-admin posted this over on http://www.ztunlimitedforums.com this afternoon:

I received this PM from twinshiner over on ZooTek Phoenix, and wanted to share it with you: "hi aurora, sorry to contact you in this manner. my home computer will not go online so i can not access the ztunlimited forums. when i tried from a different computer....the virus/internet security program stops it. it says that ztunlimited forums has a trojan horse on it that is for a 're direct'... I don't know enough about codes, etc to know if it's just because of all the links on the forum or what...but, until I get it figured out on my end, I won't be around the forum. I did think you and Eva would want to know that there is a possibility of a problem though. hugs and blessings, pj ~the twinshiner" At the time, I was not having any problems myself, but now on my new computer, I keep getting a warning from McAfee that there is a trojan associated with the site. A couple of people have also posted on our thread over on ZooTek that they are having problems....
Can you look into this for me and see if you can figure out the problem?

Hi ZTU,

See:

Change your FTP password via cPanel and don't save it in your FTP program.

regards,

Martin.

I'll fix it but you have to flush your computer. I'll change the password for you but don't log in FTP to your site until you read everything Martin has linked you to.

OK you have variant "B". The quick FACTS are either you or someone you know that has FTP access has the gumblar virus on their local computer. It steals stored passwords from FTP programs as well as front page and dreamweaver.

You need to contact everyone that has FTP access (or "publish" access if a GUI like front page or dreamweaver) and have them take steps to remove it before logging in with the new password that I have stored here and will give you in PM when you think it is safe.

You have been flushed of all known viruses at the moment. If history holds true, the password change will stop this from happening again.

The only reinfections noted was from people not changing their passwords.

You have been infected (forum, gallery, tourguidepodium(?))
since December 23rd of last year. Your friends might start experiencing problems with google search redirects.

Odd, since we don't use FTP access, frontpage, dreamweaver, etc.... and I am the only one who has any access to the control panel anyways.
