I'm going to change your password from here. If you changed it, the computer you did it from must be infected. I'll PM you-

I have run Avast time and again and other spyware and adware programs and all say the comp[uter is clear also since my report first thing this morning I haven't had any alarms although it seems that they are affecting each member as they come online.

You were infected Bob. I flushed it from here. I changed your password.

Write it on your hand in magic marker. Just kidding, try not to access your site FTP for a day or so to see if you have some sort of bug on your local.

Who else had your FTP password?

It sounds like I have some foreign disease.  :) I am the only one who uses the FTP and only I know the password. Does what you have done affect my forum or just the FTP

In the last ten minutes I have had two members e-mail me to say that as soon as the YMR forum comes up on their screens their computers freeze, and they have to pull the plug. This isn't happening on another forum they use. I am advising people to keep away for now till I find out what's happening. This is making me feel worse and worse as it seems my forum is spreading something all over the place.

I flushed after the last post, changed the password, I just visited and no problems. They have the JS file cached Bob.

I use ESET NOD32 for virus, etc & just visited chickenchatter & it found a problem in a specific cartoon & blocked the URL for that.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but for the users, some of these viruses are reinfecting through the System Restore, best to disable it. That will take out all your markers, but it it really is the safest way. Don't enable it until you're sure the computer is clean.

Another helpful hint for users with the typical phony virus protect malware is to load the Task Manager with cntr-alt-delete at just the right time before the computer screen comes up, find the bad process (mine was somethingPRO) and delete it. It doesn't clean it but it buys you enough time to run malwarebytes and superantispyware or whatever. (I found it does take two programs to clean it thoroughly).

Interesting point that may or may not be relevant...

I had three sidebar menus. Just as all this started, the 'Recent Posts' in the third window disappeared. Then I was told the chat windows above it were infected. I took out both chat windows (conversations and flash chat) and now the Recent Posts are back.

:?

I did not go any further & backed out of the site. I just visited as a result of the above post as mentioned by you.

For what you want to do, an expert in Internet is needed & that ain't me.

Well it seems we are getting back to square one. The header logo on my forum has gone again and I just have the words left. More members are coming on to the forum and getting alerts. One of them didn't even get access as he was warned that the site was a danger to his computer and it was shut down. Below is what I get again when I click on 'View Image'. Same as before but much more than is shown. :

"Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/yourmode/public_html/file_systems/wowbb/main.php:3883) in /home/yourmode/public_html/attachment.php on line 63

From looking at the warnings that are coming up on members screens it seems they are nearly all tracking cookies from porn sites and the like. We have all cleared our machines of cookies and putting up with the bother of having to re-log on to all our many different sites but still these damned things keep coming up. There has to be an answer somewhere as understandably members are worried and starting to want either an assurance or they are going to leave.

OK, now I am in trouble. I can't access my forum at all now because what I get is a white page with this on it.

"The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

Below this is a warning from Avast :

yourmodelrailway.net {gzip}contains a sample of JS:ILredirect-B"

Can someone please help as the situation is now desperate.
