Can we use png files for emoticons? I want to try a couple I made as they are much cleaner around the edges than gifs, but when I ftp them in the emoticons folder they won't display in the emoticons list in admin panel. I had to ftp them as I got an error message when uploadng them in the admin panel. They are definitely in the emoticons folder as you can see from the ones I linked to here;

Yes on the dimension limit. Admin panel/topics tab/avatars and attachments. The other? Hmmmm I never looked in to it. I imagine it would work but will have to look. On the list now

So png files won't work. This applies to the post icons in the forum lists, for example. I think the emoticons are similar -- I will check it tomorrow. regards, Martin.
