 The following is an open question current on my WoW "Customer Support" Web page (unanswered since I don't know when):

 

The following is cut and pasted from the web page loaded (when trying to load the forum web page "Power-Independence"):

 Jim,

I have the OK from the boss to make the move. My PayPal account is not up to date (I need to get the lost password again), can we do direct Credit-Card and automatic payments?

Please help with one other question.

I have just received a letter in the mail concerning the impending expiration of my domain name. I don’t want to lose that domain name; but I don’t want to pay some scammer either.

What do you know about my domain name, how do I keep it up to date, etc.?

 The letters are real but un needed. There is an article on here somewhere explaining the entire thing.

Where did you register the domain name through?

 OK you are registered through wowbb. I'll have their system send you a password which I will need to set up nameservers. Just tell me when you are ready.

You are lucky, you have access to the e-mail you used when you registered the name. Or I assume you do since you used it to register here too :)

No magic there, all a matter of public record through whois.

I have my credit card ready. I am ready, and none-to-soon, since my Verizon account (my old and present e-mail) may soon be left as behind as WoW - for similar reasons.

 Well you just took care of 3! You are welcome. :)

You need to do 1 at Paypal or 2checkout... wherever you bought wow through.

Don't do 2 yet till we get the domain name here. I took care of the registrar thing for you as I said I would, or you wouldn't be seeing the new board. Your site is at Data 1 now, but the name is still at the place that wow holds them.

You can register a domain name and not have hosting.
You can get hosting and not have a domain name.

The only way to see what is on the site with the domain name is to "point" the name at the server the site is on. That is what the nameserver details are for, it tells the domain name where the site files are.

So now I have two questions asked of "Customer Support" at WoW.

I started that account November 2005, I do not remember where or how I signed up.
