For a few weeks now UltraBB has been testing internally an integration for the Prochatrooms software: http://www.prochatrooms.com/ It's about as feature rich as it gets with plug ins for webcams and just about anything a chat program can have. Check out their website and in a day or so you will all be invited to another test board (similar to the gallery test board) to stress test the new integration. The support from Prochatrooms I feel is equal to what you get with Ultra, these guys are helpful. So get ready chatters... I believe we have found the best blend of security, features, support and ease of use that can be had in a chat program! UltraBB Staff

Hey Jim, I am trying out the Shout box by these guys. I have it in the side menu box. Is there a way to make that box, unviewable unless you are logged in?

Hi Jim, I would be interested in Pro Chat for the webcam feature. Not so that my members can see each other, but so that they can see each other's screens when discussing my software. But it looks to be an expensive option to add webcams: Ultra integration package: $ ? Pro Chat Room: $55 Webcam Plugin: $99 Flash Webcam Server Package: $20 per month. So that's around $400 for the first year?  regards, Martin.

I tried playing with the CMS integration, located in the include/config.php file, so the members didnt have to type a name every time when they type, but when I turn it on, and I try to type anything, a popup comes up, and it says.... Sorry, you have been banned. LOL  I turned it back off..

It needs to be made clear that you do not have to purchase all of the available modules (options) for this to be a valuble asset to your forums. Martin's example is for the Rolls Royce of usage, the basic $55 will enhance your board, giving members the ability to hold a conversation via text/type.

The $55 is a one time fee. I might even start a flash server as a service to members who want the webcam option. Still examining all the details but will open the chat board tonight- Jim

For my purposes, the webcam option would be the only reason for getting this chat thing. It looks expensive, but I think I could cover it with a small charge to users. regards, Martin.

It is expensive. But so is ultra in comparison to the free boards that sometimes seem to have more features. I think the first time you experience the service side of Prochatrooms you will not worry about dropping the coin. I truly believe this is the attraction with Ultra also, there is usually someone here that really cares if things are going well.
