Thanks Martin! I see what you are saying and I'll try it. I didn't realize I could do that. Thanks! Now, in my case I am actually interested in doing "invitation only". Is this handled differently?

Change New Registrations to Off, and click Save. Now you will have to do the registration for those who you want to join your board, they won't be able to do it themselves. i.e. 1. email them an invitation. 2. they email back "yes please -- I want my user name to be X and my password to be Y". 3. register them - Admin > Users > Register New User. regards, Martin.
