I am going to buy ultraBB this week. I need to know what I have to do to secure the board and all the customizations I have done. I will be moving the board to a host as soon as I buy the board. Do I need to back up or do anything in order to do this. Will I be able to get help transferring the board. I have never done this before. Thank you, Danny

Thanks Jim. Wednesday i will buy the board and contact you and let you know. On the cpanel, do i need to do anything. I would like the board in a sub directory call Journey. I just don't know where to put the sub directory though lol

Oh sorry I also meant to ask you, how much to use you guys as a host? At present I am being hosted at Gator. Twice now they got some kind of virus that wiped out my board.. I saw my board up and running a few days ago but have not logged on in several months. So I know it was from me. Peace Love and Hugs Danny

You can read all about it here We recommend that you change your FTP password immediately and when you log into your FTP, do NOT save the password! Hi Danny, Your trial expired in the middle of June last year. I'm sorry we simply cannot keep backups that long. The virus is pretty common, we figured out real quickly here how to deal with it and what was causing it. We would be glad to have you on board, let us know when you want to move- Jim

You wouldn't regret a hosting move to Jim. I have had "others" host different sites that I have had, and none come close to DATA1. Downtime is a thing of the past and if you need something, Jim is on it as quick as you can hit "Post Reply"

I am so sorry, are you sure they don't have a backup? Seems like a company that large would have some sort of backup plan. When you are ready to start another come on over please. It slows the server down a little during the backup but all our servers are backed up daily, weekly and monthly.... some people come here for that fact alone.
