Have had a lot of requests lately for a "report post" button, which would be incredibly simple to implement since all the info needed is already generated. So here is what I wonder, having never used one would you want it to send a PM, an e-mail or both? Input please-

In the case of multiple Admins and Moderators would it report to all, or just one. Would you be able to switch it on and off in the Admin panel. Would you be able to configure which of the Admins and Mods got the notification. I would prefer PM contact

I would like an email sent to Admin and/or mods.... Just food for thought, a forum software that I have some experience with will create a topic in a forum dedicated to moderators like this: Reported Post by (whoever the user is that reported) {the users name} has reported a post. Reason: Quote: The message as to why it was reported goes here Post: the name of the thread Forum: The name of the forum Posted by: The user being reported Original Content: Quote: The post in its entirety would be here This is especially nice on larger boards with multiple moderators, because with this thread created in the moderators forum, it can be discussed if need be. And not the admin unless they were a moderator of that particular forum. 2. Yes, like a light bulb. Four radio buttons, send e-mail, send PM, send both, send none. Upon send none the button would not appear. 3. Never thought of that but since evidently there can be a zillion moderators of one forum perhaps. Still don't understand why

We can all probably easily work with this mod regardless of how you create it Jim. I was going to ask for this before the 1.7 upgrade, but it was too late when I thought of it.

Good idea. I dont mind via pm, email or both for the alert and agree its good to know who is reporting the post so you can check to make sure there is no bias/agenda there.

Already working as a mod on 3 boards. I plan on putting it in the next version. Problem currently is it only sends to one person. I can make it send to the moderator also BUT if there are multiple moderators then.... I just need to work on the controls.

PM or email is fine with me... I wouldnt care if it sent to the mods or not. I can always move it to the archived forum where it could be discussed, if needed.
