To all loyal customers :)

Cpanel will be releasing version 11.25 soon, and because of security and the fact that Data 1 wants to keep up with technology in any way we can we will be upgrading all servers to this new version upon the first stable release. As you might know CPanel is the leading hosting control software for web servers.

What you might not know is that up to version 11.25 the MySQL space has not been calculated in to the total web space. You could be 10K away from your file quota and still have a 3 gig database if I don't catch it. There are a few accounts that I have had to talk to the customers and they so far have understood well.

Upon upgrading to CPanel 11.25 accounts that the total of used file space plus database size exceeds the package quota will just stop working. It's easy to figure out... just go to the control panel and in the left column (most themes) there will be "disk space available" and "MySQL disk space". If the MySQL space number is bigger than the other there will be a problem. If this is the case contact us in private support or via PM and we can discuss the options.

I will review all the accounts I can and contact the individuals if this is the case. There are a lot of accounts so if you read this please check.

Jim & Di

OK Jim I don't know if it's too early in the morning for me but which control panel are you talking about? I go to my cpanel and in the left hand column I don't have either of the things you mention. I have 'Disc space use' and nothing about MySQL except it's version.

Well as it turns out it isn't displayed in all themes. Just the one I looked at first.

If you are using the X3 theme you have to go to the MySQL icon and click on that... in the resulting page the size of your MySQL databases will be displayed.

I believe I checked yours already Bob and you are safe :)

All the servers have now been updated with this version. There have been various complaints at cpanel about several little aspects but overall it went well for such a major release.
