If you saved links to some of the internal aspects of the cpanel then yes.

Yours would still be http://www.thebarkingcommunity.com:2082/

or http://www.thebarkingcommunity.com/cpanel

Came up with this when I tried for my cpanel :

Not Found
The server was not able to find the document (./frontend/x/index.html) you requested.
Please check the url and try again. You might also want to report this
error to your web hosting provider.

The url I use is :

http://www.yourmodelrailway.net:2082/frontend/x/index.html

OK Jim, sorted it out. My old url has changed slightly so I altered my shortcut and now it works fine. One thing I did notice however is that it didn't ask me for my name and password as it usually does.

That's strange Mag because I still get the Not Found error when I click on the link in that post.

The link all should be using is yoursite.com/cpanel .

That way no matter what changes internally the link doesn't break.

It is what was sent to y'all in the beginning from an automated e-mail at Data 1.

Now I remember Jim. What I did though was to type that link in and then I saved the page in my favorites, that's when the end bits must have been added on.
Yes indeed, I have just tried it and that's exactly what has happened. I don't like that short link though because it sends me to a redirect page and then the cpanel, so I will stick with the one with the bits added on.

The redirect page is because I didn't purchase a SSL cert. So if you don't trust me don't use the link :)

Awwww thanks.

So far I just did it for standard accounts. I'm afraid it would mess with the custom accounts-

What i get for not visiting more often, I logged in earlier today and was like what is this, I checked the url again. I like this version, I had this with another host, it's organized better and the File Manager is much better with the side window allowing you to see sub directories without going through the main one first.

Good move.

I thought Ultra and Data 1 are about being original.

I mean sure it's alright to get ideas from other BB and hosting places.

And I'd like to see the new cPanel hopefully sooner or later.

*shakes head* Jim and Di work very hard to make Ultra unique, but they also go above and beyond to make sure that we are all happy with the products and services they offer. Sometimes that means that they utilize an idea that may be a feature on another type of board/hosting company... but they always put their own spin in things, which is what I love so much about them

I did brand the new X3 theme of Cpanel with a Data 1 Systems logo.... :)

If I ever get to go full time we will see a custom theme for cpanel but not yet.

I was on Zervex with the previous server, so the new CP11 I have now is much slicker than Zervex.

Zervex has it's advantages mostly in price. It's main disadvantage was it wouldn't run MySQL5 which works better with Ultra.
