If you push the "Home Button" and the "Power Button" at the same time the iPad will take a "Screenshot" of what is on your screen and put the picture in your "Photos" app. That way you can take a picture of my instructions and refer back to them if you lose your connection etc... It is really a handy feature that I use all the time if I am reading a magazine that has a website I want to look at later, or a product I want to buy. I just take a picture so I remember!

That's a good one to know Marty. Anyway I have been back to our Centre and nothing had changed so I went into my settings and clicked on the 'Forget this network' button. The iPad cleared all the old address and immediately picked up the wi-fi and asked for the password, which is needed down there, I entered this OK and was straight back to square one where everything showed as it should except every time I tried to access a web site I was told 'No Connection' or 'Timed out' again. I also chacked with another person down there and they weren't having any problems with connecting. Very strange.

Above is a screen shot of my home network, the one that doesn't work shows exactly the same except with different addresses. Now what has happened? I have posted a screen shot of my iPad, on the iPad and it shows up perfectly on the iPad browser but not on here. Last edited on Tue Dec 13th, 2011 10:32 am by Robert |

Are you able to get to http://192.168.1.1 when you are in the centre? That should be the admin panel for the router (unless they changed it). You won't be able to get in because you don't know the password.... but if you can see that... then you know you are at least connected to the router/network properly.

I can't get down to the Centre until tomorrow now Marty but I have just tried that on my wi-fi at home and I get a 'request timed out' error.

I used 2 of them. Logo Design Studio Pro, and Art 2 Text. They are both in the Mac App Store.
