In all the servers I have set up I have never loaded windows till this time. It was just for a test, the server came accidentally with an 80G SATA when it was supposed to be bare since I put brand new hard drives in every server I put into service.

So just playing around I loaded windows 7. You can tell that using this hardware platform is much more stable from the first click than a normal desktop computer. Who cares if it's only 1 1/2 inches thick and sounds like a jet airplane when it starts up? These things are engineered to run constantly for years unlike the cheap desk tops.

If I already had one set up I would be servicing customers right now instead of ranting. With 2 hard drives mirrored even if one gives out you can yank it and run on the other. Seriously, I think I will build one later this year just for company use.
