Well, if I hadn't switched to Ultrabb last month I'd be in a pretty pickle right now. Yesterday I was informed that my forum was down. Logged and found no forum whatsoever, with the error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/content/l/i/v/live2bfree/html/forum/config.php on line 153

Yeah, I know - looks pretty scary right? I don't know squat about SQL and there's absolutely no reason why this happened - but darn straight I'll be backing it up more often.

Who do I turn to? Who the heck do I hire to fix an error such as that? Dunno, I placed a trouble ticket on the data1systems support forum.

Needless to say, as you have probably already figured out - Jim has fixed it for me. And if he didn't I'd be screwed - simple as that. I don't have to be really smart to know that I've found the right place to hang my hat.

Finding someone willing to help people more for principle than for cash is rare nowadays, and to be taken notice of. And for that rare quality I would turn over my wallet. (good luck finding something in it!)

I'm glad Jim got this fixed for you Keith.

BTW if you don't mind me throwing out some observations; I had a look at your forum and registered there and the general feel of it is nice, even though I'm not really interested in the subject matter. I'm no expert on what a forum should look like, but the way you have it structured feels like it will do very well.
150 members with nearly 5000 posts shows that your members like it.

Hi Wing,

Thanks. Forum is slow, but I'd rather have it slow and personal, than busy and sloppy. You know, sort of like it is here :)

Catch you later,

Keith

Hi Keith

I signed up, but my wife will be using the account as she loves the paranormal.

Strange thing... when I signed up, why would there only be 3 forums showing as having new posts? If Im a new member, wouldnt all of the forums show as new posts?.... just seemed weird :?

GREAT forum though... Her and I will definitely be spending some time on there,

You're right, that does sound a little strange. Maybe I'll check it out myself. Thanks for the tip.
