This is a job we had been putting off for a long time.
Disgruntled with our previous forum leasing arrangement and sick of spending 50% of the time clearing out spammers, we even suffered a hijack and at least two crashes.
I design web sites in my spare time and although I love the design side, I dread walking clients through the hosting set up side of things.
I will never be a coder as long as I have a hole in my proverbial and my wife had been pushing me to do something about our dilemmna.
From a heads up by another recent convert, we checked Ultra out.
The price was right (in fact, with a little investigation we were able to drop down a level and get a cheaper option)
The migration (the bit I was dreading) went like a dream, even though we opted for a new domain name.
The support through the whole process was above and beyond.
I just counted 6 rapid responses in our private support thread, over the weekend I might add, in the space of 24 hours.
Our members love the changeover and we find the new forum admin panel very easy to use.
I'll be pointing all my future web design customers in Jims direction for their hosting requirements and wouldn't hesitate in recommending Data 1 Systems and UltraBB to anyone with a website/forum problem to solve.
This is the first time I have seen competitive pricing and top quality service meet in the 10 or so years I have been involved in web design.
For anyone who is considering setting up a forum but is a little timid on how to go about it, you need look no further.
