Ok folks, I've been working on this for some time and I still have about another week of tweaking before I get everything just the way I want it... But for those of you that would like a sneak preview, you can check my new forum site out here. The site is called ArcadeOasis.net and it deals mainly with creating MAME cabinets, emulation and restoration of classic arcade games... but it also has sections for newer console games as well as a few off-topic forums for fun. The site is running the latest builds of UltraBB, the Arcade Mod (50 Games installed so far), Integrated Gallery and ProChat software. I haven't advertised the site yet since there is still a bit of tweaking to do, but I would appreciate you all stopping by and giving me your impressions of what is "working" and what could use some improvement. This will also end up being the official support board for my company after I get that set up, so I'm really trying to "get it right". Thanks for your time! -Chip

I agree that the header font is unreadable. However, a simple fix is to add

I knew what it was  Of course I'm from USA where we have things like Rap and new york and L.A. You think that's hard to read check out the graffiti under most of the tunnels around big cities.

i wasn't a big fan of the lead theme when I made it but now that I see it running live on a board, its starting to grow on me. good job, chip!

Thanks for the comments everyone.. Yes I already knew about the header being hard to read. I went with that mainly because it harkens back to the gaudy over stylized fonts seen in many of the US arcades back in the late 70's and 80's. They were sometimes hard to read too. Plus- I figured if you were already on the site, you could already guess what it said. Martin: Thanks, I'll add the header fix. Perhaps I'll work on a few different header ideas as well.

In the end, I decided to keep my original header.. I think it works best for the site.. Plus I added the forum new/old icons that Di made for my custom theme... and they just fit. Head over to the site to see it all in action.

Ok.. as I always do, I got carried away with the number of forums I set up.. Did some checking around and condensed/combined the forums to about the bare minimum. Anyway, thanks for all of the feedback!
