My daughter was 19 at the time and engaged and on her own so there wasnt gonna be a problem there with her and Paul But when Paul and i married his kids got mad and hateful and didnt even live here in FL they moved with their bio mom way up in the northern states... I went seeking a support group around our town... NOTHING so i thought ok i will try the internet....i ran across a site called The StepFamily Connection i joined and it was a great support group... I got to know the owner and she asked me to be an Admin..Paul and i went to CA and i got to met the owner of the site which was really cool... so at the beginning of 2005 the owner of the site added another Admin and some more moderators due to the increase of members... the new Admin took control and ran the site down the tubes ....It was so bad that the owner called me and told me she was shutting down the site...May 3th of 2005 the doors closed....She asked me if i wanted to buy the site and domain for 5 grand..I seriously thought about it but thought no this isnt what i want to do... well with the closing of the site at 5am on the 3rd of May my email was flooded with people asking what happen to The StepFamily Connection (TSC) I got 135 emails in 2 hours so i knew i had to do something.... So i opened a 'free site' May 4th and by word of mouth TBS was born... I was going to run the 'free site' for 8 to 10 months to make sure everyone was gonna be ok with the way things were going... well it went off like sky rockets and all was good... then it got to the point with the 'free site' that the guy wasnt paying his bills and the site would all go down for day's........weeks.............. it was a mess.. So on Labor Day Sept 5th 2005 Paul got up early and found where we could buy the software and hosting ..... so that stopped all out down time and TBS has been going ever since... every year TBS has a BBQ that a member hosts usually on Labor Day...But this year its here at our home in Florida the last weekend in June.... I can not thank Jim and Di enough for all the support...help.... and great software and hosting for TBS !!!
