Just a quick note to let you know we are taking the recent outbreak of spam very seriously and are looking in to methods to slow it down. If you do a few google searches this is a big problem recently with all forum/blog/CMS style software. I believe we should be able to complete the investigation by sometime this weekend. This doesn't necessarily mean we will have a routine in order that will zap real humans at the door of your board in a few days, but there might be ways to make it more labor intensive for spammers to sign up. I imagine if they only get paid a few cents per injected link that spending more than a minute and having to think a little would send them to easier targets. This will mean more registration questions/tricks but it is a small price to pay to keep the gold diggers away.
