Hi everyone, The program portion it's self is done along with the "Ultra" theme which is the board default. In working on the popular "Sea" theme I quickly realized something... changing the admin templates is 10 times more involved than changing the front end template. That is what the recent delay is. I still hope to have it ready by the Thanksgiving weekend but "up the road" looking at the NEXT release beyond this one there will be another huge change- a common admin control interface. In short there will be only one theme for the admin interface. Plus side- development time of themes and updates to the board software will be cut greatly. Admin functions are some times overlooked from theme to theme and the way the form is written has a much more drastic effect on the program if something is overlooked. Look what happened way in the past with the emoticon disappearing when saving... only on some themes. Minus side- A boring universal utility theme on the admin side. In my honest opinion I think this is not a big deal being admins usually don't hang out in the admin panel and are usually the smallest member group of the board. If someone wants to open a general discussion in any other part of this board on this subject feel free to. Jim & Di

STATUS REPORT Hi Everyone and HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I remember saying somewhere "Before Thanksgiving" for the release and today is Thanksgiving day here in the USA, you deserve an explanation. The decision to go to a common admin panel was a big step. It wasn't real hard to get everything working until I got to the almighty "Theme Editor". To get it to work flawlessly I had to alter almost every line in the template and did alter every line in the CSS file ALONG WITH a small portion of the admin.php file it's self. That's the bad news. Good news is it works a lot better than I originally anticipated and has already proven to make theme development easier. Sea is done, Common Admin is done, I started on AIblue last night and it is about 80% done because of common admin panel making it easier. All I have left is to finish AIblue and one of the old "shades" variants which will be re named by the way. The above mentioned themes will be included in this round of upgrades and will be supported throughout the life of Ultra. The next update they will not be included but will be available for free download immediately after releases. All of this puts us more in line with what the bigger software companies do and as I have said before will reduce the labor involved in development and upgrades making them happen sooner. It is change but in the end both company and customer win. Jim & Di
